Interview with Nayan Sarika on Her Role in Vishnu Vinyasam and Upcoming Projects

How would you describe your character in Vishnu Vinyasam?
My character, Manisha, is multi-dimensional with strong personality traits. In the beginning, she may seem a bit dominant, which could irritate some viewers. But as the story progresses, the real reasons behind her behavior are revealed, and the audience will appreciate her strength and depth. It's a meaningful role that undergoes a transformation that adds to the story's emotional arc.

Your character appears bold in the teaser. What was your initial reaction to this role?
I loved the character when I first heard about it from the director. Manisha, a college lecturer, has faced numerous struggles, which shape her desire for freedom and happiness. Her relationship with Sri Vishnu’s character is central to the film, and it’s a love story that will resonate strongly with students and young people.

How did you get started in the film industry?
I originally come from Maharashtra and completed my graduation before stepping into the world of films. My first movie was in Telugu, and since then, I’ve been working in the Telugu film industry. The love and support from Telugu cinema have given me many opportunities, and I’m excited to continue taking on strong roles in meaningful films.

What was it like working with Sri Vishnu?
Working with Sri Vishnu was a delightful experience. He has a fantastic sense of humor and makes the set feel comfortable for everyone. His impeccable comic timing and ability to improvise on the spot added a special charm to our scenes and made our performances even better.

How did you find working with director Yadunath Maruthi Rao?
Director Yadunath Maruthi Rao is extremely talented and has a clear vision for his projects. I really enjoyed the story when he narrated it to me. He provided great guidance for my character, helping me understand the emotional depth and nuances required. It was an enriching experience working with him.

Can you tell us about the producers of the film?
The producers were incredibly supportive and passionate about the project. They made sure every aspect of the film was properly handled, ensuring everything was arranged for us. Their dedication was crucial in bringing this film to life.

Which song from the film stands out for you?
Radhan's music for the film is outstanding. My favorite track is the breakup song, and Modhale Modhale is another beautiful song I love. The background score also adds an emotional layer to the film, making the scenes even more impactful.

Was acting always your career goal, or did you have other aspirations?
Not initially! I had dreams of becoming a lawyer, but my passion for cinema has always been strong since childhood. Eventually, that love for films led me to pursue acting, and I’m so glad I made that decision.

Do you find performing comedy challenging?
Absolutely, making people laugh is a skill. Sri Vishnu’s natural comedic timing is incredible, and his improvisations on set made a huge difference in our scenes. His ability to elevate the scenes made them more enjoyable, which helped all of us in the process.

What was your reaction when you received the Filmfare Award?
Receiving the Filmfare Award was a dream come true for me. Growing up, I always watched the awards on television, so actually standing on that stage to accept the award was an emotional and joyous moment.

If you could choose any project, what would be your dream role or film to be a part of?
I would love to work with SS Rajamouli. Acting in one of his films is one of my biggest dreams, and it would be an honor to be part of his cinematic world.

Can you share what projects you’re working on next?
Currently, I’m working on an exciting fantasy comedy film titled Rakasa. I’m also part of a Kannada film alongside Golden Star Ganesh. Both projects are quite different from my previous work, and I’m looking forward to seeing how audiences respond.

Thank you, and all the best with your future endeavors!
Thank you so much! I’m excited for everything that’s to come.
