Iran Rejects US Proposal, Sets 5 Conditions to End Middle East Conflict

Iran has rejected the United States' proposal to end the ongoing war, insisting that it will decide the terms of cessation on its own. According to a senior Iranian official, the US offer was deemed "excessive," and Tehran is determined to continue its defense against US forces. The official emphasized that Iran would only end the conflict once its conditions are met, signaling its intent to keep up military actions until those terms are fulfilled.

In a statement to the media, Iran outlined five specific conditions for agreeing to a ceasefire, which include a complete end to US and Israeli aggression, guarantees against future military actions, and compensation for the damages caused by the war. Additionally, Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz must be formally recognized, and the war should end for all resistance groups active in the region. These conditions are seen as a response to previous failed negotiations, where Iran accused the US of deception during talks.

While the US had proposed a 15-point plan focusing on sanctions relief and limits on Iran’s military capabilities, the ongoing conflict, exacerbated by Iran's attacks on regional infrastructure and its control over the Strait of Hormuz, has created significant global energy disruptions. Iran’s firm stance on these five conditions shows that any potential negotiations for peace remain a distant prospect unless its demands are fully met.
