EPFO Portal Shutdown From June 26 To 28: What EPF Members Should Know Before Filing Claims
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation will temporarily shut down key online claim services from June 26 to June 28, 2026, as part of a planned system upgrade. EPF members who are planning to submit withdrawal, transfer, or claim requests during this period may need to wait until services resume on June 29.
Why EPFO Services Will Be Unavailable
EPFO has announced a temporary shutdown of some member portal services to carry out database consolidation and a software upgrade for its claims processing system.
The upgrade is aimed at improving system performance, making claim processing faster, and giving members a smoother online experience in the future.
Shutdown Dates And Timings
The temporary service disruption will begin at 12:00 am on June 26, 2026, and continue until 11:59 pm on June 28, 2026.
EPFO expects the affected services to resume from 00:00 hours on June 29, 2026.
What EPF Members Cannot Do During This Period
During the three-day shutdown, members will not be able to submit fresh claim requests through the EPFO member portal.
This may affect users planning to apply for EPF withdrawal, provident fund transfer, pension-related claims, or other claim-processing services online.
Members who have urgent claim requirements may have to wait until the portal services are restored after the upgrade.
Will Existing EPF Claims Be Cancelled?
EPFO has clarified that claims submitted before the migration period will not be cancelled or rejected because of the shutdown.
However, processing of pending claims may be delayed during the upgrade window. These claims are expected to be taken up once the system migration is completed and services are restored.
Helpline For EPF Members
Members who need support during this period can contact the EPFO call centre at 14470.
EPFO has apologised for the temporary inconvenience and said the upgrade is part of its effort to provide faster, more reliable, and more secure digital services.
What EPF Members Should Do Now
EPF members planning to file a claim this week should check the shutdown schedule before starting the process. Those who have not yet submitted their claim may consider waiting until June 29, when EPFO services are expected to return after the upgrade.
The temporary disruption may cause short-term inconvenience, but the system upgrade is expected to improve the overall claim experience for EPF subscribers.
