Rahul Gandhi Slams Education Ministry Over NEET Leak And CBSE Row

Rahul Gandhi Raises NEET, CBSE And Class 9 Language Policy Concerns

Rahul Gandhi Questions the Education Ministry

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has intensified his attack on the Centre amid growing student uncertainty over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak row, CBSE Class 12 marks controversy, and CBSE Class 9 language rule issue. He said these developments have affected students from different age groups and created uncertainty among lakhs of families.

NEET And CBSE Issues Under Spotlight

Referring to the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak row, Gandhi said more than 22 lakh medical aspirants were affected after the May 3 exam was cancelled due to a confirmed breach. A re-test has been scheduled for June 21, while the CBI probe continues into alleged exam-linked networks.

He also pointed to the CBSE Class 12 marks controversy, where some students reportedly received unexpectedly low marks under the OSM evaluation process. Gandhi said such issues could impact college eligibility and future admission plans.

Class 9 Language Rule Also Criticised

Rahul Gandhi also questioned the Class 9 language policy CBSE rollout from July 1, saying many schools may face difficulties due to a shortage of teachers and textbooks. His remarks have increased pressure on the Education Ministry, while the Centre has said corrective action and exam reforms are being taken.
