Faria Abdullah on Gayapadda Simham: My Role Has a Fun Vibe, Film Is Hilarious

As part of the promotions for Gayapadda Simham, actress Faria Abdullah shared insights about her role, the film, and her experience working with the team. The film, featuring Tarun Bhascker and a special role by Sree Vishnu, is directed by Kashyap Srinivas and is set for a worldwide theatrical release on May 1.

What is your role like in this film?
Faria Abdullah: I am doing a cameo role in this film. My character’s name is Shalini, and she is a vlogger. I also share a romantic track with Tarun Bhascker. The director has written the character in a very unique and entertaining way, and the entire film has a hilarious tone.

How is the story structured?
Faria Abdullah: The story unfolds in multiple layers, and every character has importance. My role has a strong comedy element, and the writing is very funny. Audiences will feel like watching the film again.

How do you choose your scripts?
Faria Abdullah: If I like the story while listening to it, I immediately say yes. This film had a very crazy and fresh concept that felt different right away. I’m sure audiences will enjoy it.

How was it working with Tarun Bhascker?
Faria Abdullah: He is very fun to work with. His comedy timing is next level. I had a great time shooting scenes with him, and even his small expressions would make me laugh. I’ve seen the final output, and it has come out wonderfully. I’m confident it will be a hit.

What about Sree Vishnu’s role?
Faria Abdullah: His character is very interesting and well-designed. Audiences will definitely enjoy it.

Can you tell us about Manasa’s character?
Faria Abdullah: She is the girl who rejects him, while I am the one who holds his hand (laughs).

How is director Kashyap Srinivas?
Faria Abdullah: He has a very unique comedy timing. He has blended action, romance, and comedy beautifully in this film. He also appears in a role and has done a great job both as an actor and director.

How is the music in the film?
Faria Abdullah: Sweekar Agasthi has given beautiful music. I love all the songs, especially “Bride” and “Jingala.”

What about the producers?
Faria Abdullah: There are four producers, and all of them are very creative. The film clearly shows a strong team effort.

How was working with multiple directors in the cast?
Faria Abdullah: It was a great experience working with Tarun, JD Chakravarthy, and Pawan. We had many interesting discussions about cinema. Everyone worked with full confidence in the director.

Were any scenes recreated?
Faria Abdullah: Yes, some scenes were recreated, and they have turned out to be very hilarious.

Would you do a cameo with Dulquer Salmaan?
Faria Abdullah: I would actually prefer doing a full-length film with him.

Are you planning to direct a film?
Faria Abdullah: Yes, I’m planning for next year and currently writing a few stories.

What are your upcoming projects?
Faria Abdullah: Bhagavanthudu is coming soon, and I’m also working on Sigma. Two more films, including one with Satyadev, will start soon.
