Ayesha Khan Explains Her Viral Comment on Working During Menstrual Cycle and Responds to Backlash

Can you clarify what you meant in your recent interview regarding working during your menstrual cycle?
Ayesha Khan: "In the interview, I shared that I worked through physical discomfort during a two-day shoot for Shararat while on my period. It wasn’t easy, but I powered through it. My intention was to explain how physically demanding the shoot was, not to trivialize what others might go through. Unfortunately, my words were misunderstood."

There has been some criticism, with people saying that many women work through their menstrual cycle in tough conditions. What’s your perspective on that?
Ayesha Khan: "I wholeheartedly agree that women across the world work hard, no matter the physical challenges they face, including during their menstrual cycle. I have the utmost respect for women who juggle demanding jobs with personal and physical challenges. My comment was never meant to compare my experience with the struggles others endure, it was simply my personal experience."

Despite the criticism, you’ve also received a lot of support from your fans. How does that make you feel?
Ayesha Khan: "I am incredibly grateful for the support from my fans. They understand that I was just sharing my journey and their support truly means the world to me. It motivates me to continue pushing myself in my career, and I’m thankful for the love and respect I receive from those who believe in me."

You’ve been part of several successful songs in both Bollywood and Telugu cinema. What’s next for you?
Ayesha Khan: "I’m always looking for new opportunities that challenge me as an actor and performer. I’ve had the privilege of working on some incredible projects, and I’m excited to explore new roles and characters that will resonate with audiences. I look forward to sharing more with my fans and continuing to learn and grow in this industry."
