Hero Suvikshit Interview: Audiences Will Relive Their 1990s Village Memories Through Doordarshini

Hero Suvikshit Interview: Audiences Will Relive Their 1990s Village Memories Through Doordarshini

What is your background?
Hero Suvikshit:
I come from Rayachoti in Kadapa district and I currently manage a business. Since my childhood, I have always been passionate about cinema and deeply inspired by films. Though I never planned it initially, I am now making my debut as a hero through Doordarshini.

How did you get the opportunity to play the lead role in this film?
Hero Suvikshit:
Writer Narayana garu developed this story based on the real-life journey of a beggar he met in Arunachalam. Initially, another actor was considered for the project. However, since the story required a fresh and natural face, the team felt I would suit the character perfectly. The teaser, songs, and trailer have already received a wonderful response, and we are hopeful audiences will connect emotionally with the film.

How did you prepare yourself for the role?
Hero Suvikshit:
The emotions shown in the film are very relatable to me because I have personally experienced similar moments in life. Since the story is set in the 1990s, the character needed authenticity and innocence from that era. I did not approach it as acting; I simply behaved naturally the way people used to during those times.

Are you planning a wide theatrical release?
Hero Suvikshit:
Initially, we planned for a limited release. But due to the positive response we received for the promotional content, the movie is now releasing in more than 250 theatres.

Why reveal that the hero and heroine die in the film?
Hero Suvikshit:
The real emotional strength of the story lies in how the film still delivers a satisfying and emotional ending despite that tragedy. The movie also explores how the elderly character reaches Arunachalam and what happens in his life afterward. Audiences who watch the film will strongly reconnect with memories of their villages from the 1990s.

Why did you decide to play the hero yourself?
Hero Suvikshit:
Almost everyone in this film is a newcomer because we wanted complete naturalness in performances. If popular actors had played these roles, audiences might have focused more on their star image rather than the story. Fresh faces helped maintain the film’s realistic atmosphere.

How was the experience of making this film?
Hero Suvikshit:
Like every project, we faced many challenges during production. However, every artist and technician supported the film wholeheartedly. Reaching the release stage itself feels like a major achievement for us. We focused entirely on quality without any compromises.

Where was the film shot?
Hero Suvikshit:
The movie was shot in natural locations around Yanam and Kakinada. We recreated the feel of the 1990s with carefully designed sets and realistic visuals to make audiences emotionally connect with the period.

Why did you choose a 1990s backdrop?
Hero Suvikshit:
As people adapt to modern city life, they slowly drift away from their roots and hometown memories. Through this film, we wanted audiences to revisit those nostalgic emotions and reconnect with their villages.

Is it true audiences will receive handkerchiefs with tickets?
Hero Suvikshit
: Yes, because the film carries intense emotional moments. We genuinely believe audiences will not be able to watch some scenes without getting emotional.

Will you continue acting as a hero in future films?
Hero Suvikshit:
Absolutely. I would love to continue acting in films that have strong and meaningful stories.
