Andhra Cabinet Clears 87 Proposals For Jobs And Growth
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved 87 proposals covering industrial projects, tourism, data centres, ports, welfare schemes, and infrastructure development, with a focus on attracting investment and creating employment.
Cabinet Approves Major Growth Plan
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has cleared 87 proposals aimed at boosting industrial growth, attracting investments, and creating large-scale employment opportunities for youth.
The decisions include approvals for projects related to manufacturing, digital infrastructure, tourism, welfare, education, and urban development. Several proposals already cleared by the State Investment Promotion Board were also approved by the Cabinet.
Tourism And Hospitality Get Push
Tourism received a major boost with clearances for luxury hospitality projects in Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Kurnool.
Hotel brands such as Accor, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Marriott, Club Mahindra, Oberoi, and Daiwik are among the ventures mentioned in the approvals. These projects are expected to strengthen tourism infrastructure and support local employment.
Data Centres And Digital Infrastructure
The Cabinet also approved major data centre investments that could position Amaravati and Visakhapatnam as important digital infrastructure hubs.
CtrlS Data Centers Limited will set up a 100 MW facility in the Anakapalli district with an investment of Rs 2,788 crore. Sify Infinite Spaces Limited will expand its proposed 500 MW data centre project in Visakhapatnam with a total investment of Rs 15,266 crore.
Focus On Ports And Industrial Clusters
The Cabinet approved revised operational limits for Machilipatnam and Ramayapatnam ports. It also cleared a proposal to set up a sustainable aviation fuel facility in Kakinada.
Officials said the government is focusing on industrial clusters rather than standalone manufacturing units. Automobile units, battery production facilities, toy manufacturing, electronics, and ancillary industries are planned in designated regions.
Welfare And Education Measures
The Cabinet also approved the expansion of BC welfare residential schools and scholarship support for SC and ST students studying in deemed universities.
Infrastructure projects in Amaravati, supported by funding from the World Bank, ADB, and HUDCO, were also part of the decisions.
Government Focus On Employment
Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy said the Cabinet decisions are part of the government’s broader plan to position Andhra Pradesh as a leading destination for investment, manufacturing, technology, and sustainable development.
He said creating quality employment opportunities remains a top priority, while skill development programmes will help local youth prepare for emerging job opportunities.
Andhra Pradesh Investment Push
The Cabinet also approved incentives and land allocations for major projects in rare-earth magnet manufacturing, steel processing, solar manufacturing, motorcycle production, and defence-related sectors.
The government said Andhra Pradesh will use its coastline, ports, transport connectivity, and natural resources to support industrialisation and long-term economic growth.
