Bengaluru Apartment Tragedy Shocks KR Puram Area
A shocking incident was reported on June 23, 2026, from Sai Green Apartment in Bengaluru’s KR Puram area, where three members of a family were found dead inside their home. The incident has triggered a major investigation by local police and forensic teams.
The victims have been identified as Somasundar (55), his wife Muthulakshmi (48), and their younger daughter Supriya (20). According to police, all three were allegedly attacked inside the apartment, leading to their deaths. Authorities suspect the involvement of the elder daughter, Shwetha, and her live-in partner Kenneth, both of whom are currently absconding.
Police Probe Focuses on Family Conflict and Motive
Preliminary investigation suggests that long-standing family tensions may have contributed to the incident. Police sources indicated that Shwetha’s relationship with Kenneth was not accepted by her parents, leading to repeated disputes within the household.
Officials are also examining financial stress as a possible factor, as Shwetha is believed to have accumulated significant debts. Investigators suspect that a confrontation took place inside the apartment when the accused allegedly visited the residence on the day of the incident.
Police said the victims were attacked with a sharp weapon during the altercation. One of the victims reportedly attempted to escape but succumbed to injuries shortly after.
Authorities have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and have collected forensic evidence from the scene. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being reviewed to trace the movement of the suspects.
Manhunt Underway for Accused Pair
Bengaluru police have launched a manhunt to locate Shwetha and Kenneth, who are believed to have fled after the incident. Teams are analyzing digital footprints, CCTV records, and possible travel routes to track their whereabouts.
Officials confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and multiple angles are being examined, including relationship disputes and financial pressure. Further details will be released as the probe progresses.
