CBSE Gives Class 12 Students More Time To Apply For Answer Book Copies
CBSE Extends Deadline After Website Disruptions
The Central Board of Secondary Education has extended the CBSE Class 12 scanned copy deadline 2026 till May 24 after students faced repeated problems on the official portal. The earlier last date to apply for scanned answer book copies was May 23, 2026, but CBSE revised the schedule following complaints about slow loading, interruptions, and login-related issues.
According to the CBSE circular issued on May 22, 2026, the board’s website witnessed unprecedented traffic in recent days. CBSE also said there were attempts at unauthorised interference, which made the portal vulnerable to disruptions and affected the application process. The extension has been given to ensure that no student misses the chance to apply for answer book copies due to technical issues.
Students who receive their scanned answer books will get up to two days to apply for the next stage, including verification of marks or re-evaluation. CBSE clarified that all earlier terms and conditions will remain unchanged. Students are advised to use the extended timeline and complete the process carefully through the official CBSE portal before May 24, 2026. The source article states that the circular was issued on May 22, 2026, and the revised deadline is May 24, 2026
