NEET UG 2026 Breach Row: NTA Statement Sparks Trust Crisis Amid CBI Probe

NEET UG 2026 Paper Breach Row Deepens After NTA Denies System Leak

NTA Statement Sparks Fresh Confusion

The NEET UG 2026 paper breach controversy has raised fresh concern after different statements came from the government and the National Testing Agency. During a parliamentary panel appearance on May 21, 2026, NTA Director General Abhishek Singh reportedly said the NEET UG 2026 paper was “not leaked through the system”. However, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had earlier admitted that there was a “breach in the chain of command” in the case. This difference has created confusion among students and parents who are waiting for clear answers.

The issue is not only about whether the leak happened through a server or another route. The NEET exam process includes printing, packaging, transport, custody, security, and distribution. If any part of this chain fails, students see it as a NEET paper handling failure. The CBI probe into the NEET UG 2026 leak has also made the matter more serious, with chemistry lecturer PV Kulkarni arrested as a key accused. Reports claimed that chemistry questions were circulated before the exam. With the Centre now considering a computer-based NEET format, the main demand from students remains accountability, transparency, and a secure exam system.
