Can you tell us about your background?
Fight Master Nabakanth:
I am from Manipur, but I came to Hyderabad during my childhood and grew up here. Inspired by my father, I entered this field at the age of 14. I have around 18 years of experience in stunts.

How did you get the opportunity to work on Peddi?
Fight Master Nabakanth: While Pushpa 2 was happening, Buchi Babu garu spoke to me about Peddi. He explained the introduction sequence and said that it was not exactly an action sequence, but it should feel like action.

How did you compose the viral batting shot?
Fight Master Nabakanth: I grew up in Hafeezpet, which is a full mass area. During childhood, while playing cricket, we always had the urge to hit a six. That mass style inspired the batting shot in Peddi.

Which action sequence was most challenging for you in Peddi?
Fight Master Nabakanth: In this film, my gurus Ram-Lakshman masters worked on a police station episode. For the wrestling sequence, we contacted Bollywood hero Vicky Kaushal’s father, Sham Kaushal.

How was your experience working with Ram Charan?
Fight Master Nabakanth: The best quality in Ram Charan garu is that he listens very carefully to what we say. He trusts technicians a lot. He worked extremely hard for this film and underwent a major physical transformation.

How did Ram Charan get injured during the shoot?
Fight Master Nabakanth: I cried at that moment. It happened accidentally while doing a roll movement. Ram Charan garu openly said that the mistake was from his side, and before thinking about himself, he asked everyone to check on the fighter in front of him.

Do Shiva Rajkumar and other actors have action scenes?
Fight Master Nabakanth: Yes, Divyendu and Shiva Rajkumar sir also have good action sequences in the film. Shiva Rajkumar garu’s energy levels are superb.

You worked under Ram-Lakshman masters. What compliment did they give you?
Fight Master Nabakanth: After watching Pushpa, they appreciated me and said, “You have upheld the name of your guru.” That gave me great happiness.

What are your upcoming films?
Fight Master Nabakanth: I am working on Paradise, Rowdy Janardhan, Vamsi garu and Salman Khan garu’s film, and Chiranjeevi garu and Bobby garu’s film.
