Challenges of Creating Racing Music: Gibran Interview About Biker
How did you come on board for Biker?
Gibran: After Saaho, I was waiting for a good comeback project. During this time, UV Creations' Vamsi Garu spoke to me about this project. I met director Abhilash, and we immediately clicked. I felt this was definitely the right comeback film for me. The script was fantastic, and the emotion in the story really stood out.
What’s unique about Biker compared to other racing films in Telugu?
Gibran: Biker has a Hollywood-level production. It's not just about racing and action; it also has strong emotional family content. We’ve blended intense racing with deep family emotions, which makes the film very different from the typical racing films we see in Telugu.
What was your approach to creating music for a racing film?
Gibran: Racing movies often get compared to Hollywood films, so there was a lot of pressure. We didn’t want to create typical F1-style music, which people usually expect. Instead, we worked hard to create music that fit our movie, using fresh ideas to make the soundtrack unique. I’m confident the audience will enjoy it.
How did you balance the racing action with the music?
Gibran: Racing scenes often have loud bike sounds, which can overpower music. We used new technology to ensure the background score and sound effects were balanced properly. It was essential to make sure the music didn’t get lost in the action, and I think we achieved that.
What do you think of Santosh Soban's performance in Biker?
Gibran: After watching the film, people will definitely talk about Santosh’s performance. He has delivered an exceptional performance, and it was a pleasure to work with him again. I believe this film will bring him a lot of recognition.
How did you find working with director Abhilash?
Gibran: Abhilash is a very disciplined director. He has a clear vision for the film. He was very specific about what he wanted from the music and made sure we captured the right emotional tone for the story. I believe he’s going to be a standout director in the Telugu film industry.
What are your thoughts on UV Creations?
Gibran: Vamsi Garu has always supported me, like a brother. I’ve worked with him on Run Raja Run, Zil, and Saaho, and his belief in my music has always been strong. I’m really grateful for his constant support, and I'm sure the audience will love the music in Biker.
What upcoming projects do you have?
Gibran: Right now, I’m focused on Biker, which is releasing soon. I’ve also worked on a Tamil film called Leader, which will be released in April. After Biker releases, I’ll start thinking about new projects.
All The Best!
Gibran: Thank You!
