A grand AP FDC swearing-in ceremony was held in Vijayawada, where newly appointed members took charge in the presence of Nandamuri Balakrishna, Minister Kandula Durgesh and several film industry personalities.
AP FDC Members Take Charge In Vijayawada:
The newly appointed members of the Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation officially took oath and assumed office at a grand ceremony held in Vijayawada. Actor and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna attended the event as chief guest, while Andhra Pradesh Cinematography, Tourism and Culture Minister Kandula Durgesh was also present. AP FDC Chairman Bharath Bhushan thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Kandula Durgesh for giving him the responsibility. He said he would work sincerely to support the government’s vision for developing the film industry in Andhra Pradesh.

Focus On Film Industry Growth:
Several film personalities spoke about the need to strengthen cinema, television and theatre sectors in the state. Veteran actor Suman Talwar said Amaravati has the potential to become a major film hub like Hyderabad and stressed the importance of encouraging shootings in Andhra Pradesh. Actress Jhansi, director Meher Ramesh, writer Borra Sai Madhav and others said the new responsibility should be used to support artists, distributors, exhibitors and all 24 crafts of the film industry. Director-producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao also announced plans to establish a studio in Amaravati and develop theatres across the state with government support.The ceremony also highlighted the importance of bringing more film shoots, theatre development and technical opportunities to Andhra Pradesh. Speakers said the state has strong locations, cultural heritage and audience support, which can help it grow as a major cinema destination in the coming years.

Government Promises Strong Support:
Minister Kandula Durgesh said the coalition government is committed to reviving the arts and cinema sectors in Andhra Pradesh. He announced that prestigious initiatives such as the Nandi Awards would be revived and added that world-class infrastructure would be created to attract more film shootings. Balakrishna congratulated all newly appointed AP FDC members and said Andhra Pradesh has always played an important role in Telugu cinema collections. He urged the members to work actively toward reviving theatres, encouraging quality films and making Andhra Pradesh a strong filmmaking destination once again.
