Pawan Kalyan May Spend 20 Days in Kerala for Rehabilitation

Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh: Pawan Kalyan is reportedly planning a 20-day Kerala stay for rehabilitation following his recent shoulder surgery.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is reportedly preparing to spend around 20 days in Kerala as part of his post-surgery recovery. The reported stay is expected to focus on rehabilitation following the right shoulder surgery he underwent in Mumbai on July 11, 2026.

Kalyan had been diagnosed with serious rotator cuff injuries in both shoulders. Doctors operated on his right shoulder first, with the procedure lasting about three-and-a-half hours. The surgery was successful, and he was later discharged after observation. Doctors had also advised a structured rehabilitation programme as part of his recovery.

Pawan Kalyan Reportedly Plans Kerala Rehabilitation Stay

According to reports, Pawan Kalyan was expected to travel to Kerala on August 21 and remain at a medical or rehabilitation facility for about 20 days. The exact centre, treatment schedule and therapies involved have not been officially disclosed.

The Kerala stay is therefore being reported as part of his recovery plan rather than as a newly announced medical procedure. At the time of writing, no detailed statement from his office or the Jana Sena Party had publicly confirmed the entire 20-day schedule, so the duration remains a reported plan.

Pawan Kalyan Recovering After July Shoulder Surgery

Pawan Kalyan underwent arthroscopic repair of his right shoulder at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai after doctors found extensive tendon damage and an associated avulsion fracture. The hospital said the procedure was successful and that he would need a structured rehabilitation programme, with full shoulder recovery expected to take several months.

After discharge, he returned to Hyderabad and continued recuperating under medical supervision. Reports said doctors advised rest before physiotherapy. The recovery plan is expected to focus on gradually restoring shoulder strength, movement and function.

Pawan Kalyan Health Recovery May Limit Public Schedule

If the reported Kerala stay goes ahead, Pawan Kalyan could remain away from major public engagements for much of the next three weeks. There has, however, been no official announcement detailing which political, administrative or film commitments may be affected.

His shoulder condition has been linked by party statements to a long-standing injury that worsened over years of public programmes, political tours and campaigns. Doctors had earlier said both shoulders were affected, while treatment for the left shoulder could be considered separately after recovery from the first operation.

Pawan Kalyan Kerala Treatment Report Awaits Confirmation

For now, the confirmed medical update is that Pawan Kalyan underwent successful right shoulder surgery in July and has been following a rehabilitation plan. The reported 20-day Kerala stay is the latest development in his recovery, but detailed official confirmation is still awaited. The coming weeks will determine when the Deputy Chief Minister can return to a fuller schedule of political and administrative engagements, depending on his recovery and medical advice.
