Rain-Soaked Delivery Earns Praise at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi, July 21, 2026: A Mumbai man sent food to CJP protesters at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar as the demonstration over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak continued to attract public attention.

The prepaid order was delivered during heavy rain by a Zomato delivery partner. The rider reportedly told volunteers that the meals had been sent by Mumbai resident Anuj Rawat, who wanted the food distributed among anyone at the protest site who was hungry.

Volunteers accepted the food packets and thanked both the donor and the delivery partner for their efforts.

Remote Support Reaches Demonstrators

The delivery partner arrived at Jantar Mantar wearing rain protection and carrying the prepaid food order.

People gathered at the site expressed appreciation for the rider, who had completed the delivery despite difficult weather conditions in Delhi.

The gesture also drew attention on social media, where users described it as an example of ordinary citizens supporting people participating in a public demonstration.

The incident showed how people unable to attend the agitation in person were finding other ways to help demonstrators.

Online Food Orders Help Sustain Protesters

According to the delivery executive, Anuj Rawat had already paid for the order online and asked him to distribute the food among hungry people at Jantar Mantar.

The order was reportedly one of several food contributions reaching the protest site. Volunteers were also distributing tea, snacks and meals, while supporters from outside Delhi placed online orders for demonstrators.

Such remotely funded deliveries became a practical form of assistance as protesters remained at Jantar Mantar amid rain and changing weather conditions.

Volunteers coordinated the distribution of meals to ensure that the food reached participants who needed it.

The incident also highlighted the efforts of delivery workers who continued completing orders during heavy rain.

Protest Focuses on Alleged NEET-UG 2026 Leak

The demonstrations are part of a wider agitation led by the Cockroach Janta Party, or CJP, a satirical movement founded by Abhijeet Dipke.

The organisation had called for a march towards Parliament from Jantar Mantar on July 20, demanding accountability over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and concerns surrounding the examination system.

The campaign gained further attention after activist Sonam Wangchuk began an indefinite hunger strike on June 28, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the controversy.

Wangchuk was later detained by police and shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in the early hours of July 18.

The allegations surrounding the examination paper leak remain subject to official investigation and due process. Authorities and investigating agencies are expected to examine the claims and determine responsibility based on available evidence.

Against this broader political background, the food delivery became a notable example of how people outside Delhi were expressing solidarity with the demonstrators.
