Report Claims TCS Unit Employee Worked as Telecaller, Not HR Head

The individual, who is currently absconding after being named in the TCS Nashik case, was not serving as an HR head as initially reported but was employed as a telecaller at the company’s BPO unit, according to sources. The case has drawn national attention following serious allegations of harassment and forced religious conversion. Multiple complaints allege that a group of employees targeted young women, prompting several FIRs, including one filed by a male employee citing harassment and coercion.

So far, eight individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. Authorities have stated that some accused allegedly misused their positions within the company to harass colleagues. It has also been alleged that one of the accused discouraged a woman employee from filing a complaint.

Ongoing investigation and workplace concerns

The investigation is continuing, with authorities examining the roles of those accused and the extent of the alleged misconduct. Meanwhile, the company’s Nashik unit remains operational, with employees given the option to work from home or from the office.

Sources indicate that the office has not been shut down and operations continue, although the situation is being closely monitored. The case has also sparked wider discussions on workplace safety and reporting mechanisms. Officials suggest that the rise in reported complaints in recent years may reflect improved awareness and stronger internal systems encouraging employees to come forward.
