He said Vijay should have adopted a more consultative approach given the fragile political situation. Selvan also criticised what he described as an aggressive tone from sections of the TVK leadership after the election results. He questioned the party’s stance against “dynastic politics” while reportedly seeking support from parties aligned with the Indian National Congress and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Further targeting TVK’s strategy, the VCK leader objected to remarks allegedly made by some TVK functionaries about VCK cadres and accused certain leaders of using Vijay’s popularity to advance political agendas against the DMK. He also criticised the practice of moving MLAs to resorts after the election, calling it a return of “resort politics” in the state. TVK has emerged as the single-largest party in the Assembly elections but remains short of the majority mark required to form the government. The political situation in Tamil Nadu remains fluid, with parties continuing to explore alliance options and support arrangements.
