Music director Anirudh Ravichander is reportedly navigating a busy period in his career while preparing for his wedding. With demand for his work growing across Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema, reports say he has turned down several projects because of prior commitments. He was also reportedly approached for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King but could not take it on.
A packed schedule across industries
Anirudh has become one of the most sought-after music directors in Indian cinema, with projects spanning multiple film industries. His rising demand has reportedly made it difficult to accommodate every offer, even as filmmakers continue to approach him for major productions.
According to reports, the composer has declined several high-profile projects in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema because his schedule is already full. The decisions are said to reflect his existing work commitments rather than a lack of interest in the projects.
Reportedly turns down Shah Rukh Khan’s King
Anirudh was reportedly considered for the music of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King. However, he is said to have turned down the opportunity because of prior commitments. Neither the source material nor the reports cited here provide further details about the discussions or the film’s music plans.
The reported decision has drawn attention because King is among the major Hindi projects linked to the composer. It also underscores how his workload across industries may limit his ability to take on additional films.
Two years of work commitments
Reports suggest Anirudh has commitments lined up for the next two years. That schedule points to a sustained period of work across the Indian film industry, where his music continues to attract interest from filmmakers in several languages.
The composer’s packed calendar is also being discussed alongside preparations for his wedding. While the source does not provide details about the wedding, the combination of personal preparations and a demanding professional schedule has put Anirudh’s current phase in the spotlight.
Buzz around a Ram Charan–Sukumar film
There is also speculation that Anirudh may compose music for an upcoming film starring Ram Charan and directed by Sukumar. The project has not been confirmed in the information provided, so the composer’s involvement remains a matter of industry buzz.
If the collaboration goes ahead, it would add another prominent Telugu project to Anirudh’s growing list of reported commitments. For now, his possible association with the film remains unconfirmed, while his busy schedule continues to generate headlines.
