BTS became the biggest highlight of the 2026 American Music Awards after winning three major honours at the ceremony held on May 25, 2026, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The South Korean group opened the 52nd AMAs with a performance of “Hooligan” and later received the top award, Artist of the Year.

The group also won Song of the Summer for “Swim,” the lead single from their comeback album ARIRANG. After the main ceremony, BTS was also named Best Male K-Pop Artist, making their AMAs 2026 appearance one of the most talked-about moments of the night. Their wins strengthened their global music presence and gave K-pop fans another major celebration.
Major Winners Of The Night
Sabrina Carpenter won Album of the Year for Man’s Best Friend, while HUNTR/X, featuring EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI, won Song of the Year for “Golden.” KATSEYE won New Artist of the Year and Best Music Video for “Gnarly.” Shakira took Tour of the Year, while Taylor Swift, who led the nominations with eight nods, left without a win. Queen Latifah hosted the awards ceremony.
