Hema Malini Says Family Is Proud

Hema Malini said the family felt happy and proud, though they wished Dharmendra had been present to receive the honour himself. She added that the love from fans and the film industry made the recognition even more meaningful.

Dharmendra was among the five Padma Vibhushan recipients this year. The Padma Awards 2026 also honoured several entertainment personalities, including Mammootty, Alka Yagnik, Prosenjit Chatterjee, R Madhavan, late Satish Shah and Anil Rastogi for their work in cinema and music.
