Veteran Producer R. B. Choudary Dies in Udaipur Road Accident, Industry Mourns

Veteran film producer R. B. Choudary died in a tragic road accident near Udaipur, sending shockwaves across the South Indian film industry. He reportedly died on the spot after the vehicle he was travelling in lost control while returning from a family wedding.

According to reports, the accident occurred when cattle suddenly crossed the road, forcing the driver to swerve and lose control. Choudary was travelling with his nephew after attending a wedding in a village near Udaipur. His mortal remains are expected to be brought to Chennai for final rites.

Several prominent film personalities, including Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, expressed grief over his sudden demise, remembering him as a respected producer who contributed significantly to South Indian cinema.

Choudary was the founder of Super Good Films and produced numerous successful films across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi cinema. He was widely known for backing commercially successful films that resonated with audiences across generations.

He is survived by his family, including actors Jiiva and Jithan Ramesh. His sudden passing has left the film fraternity in deep mourning, with tributes continuing to pour in from across the industry.
