A recent gathering organised by the Dhanush Welfare Movement near Chennai brought together more than 2,500 women supporters, according to reports. Dhanush met attendees and posed for photographs, but did not make a political speech or announce a political move.
The meeting added to ongoing speculation about whether his fan network could develop into a broader organisation. For now, reports describe welfare activities and supporter gatherings; they do not establish that Dhanush has decided to enter politics.
Periyasamy Says Dhanush Is Focused on Films
Director Rajkumar Periyasamy, who is working with Dhanush on Om, recently addressed questions about the actor’s political future. He said Dhanush is currently more interested in cinema and has five Tamil films lined up.
