The first single from Alias Rukmini, “Ruku Ruku Rukmini,” was released. The romantic track features Nithiin as Krishna, who falls for Rukmini, a schoolteacher played by Aafiya Sayed.
Vijai Bulganin composed the song, with vocals by Anurag Kulkarni and lyrics by Purnachary. Its melody is arranged with guitars, violins and orchestration as it follows Krishna’s growing affection for Rukmini.
Krishna’s court-day crush
Krishna admires Rukmini during his daily travels to the court where he works. Though confident that he can win her heart, he is unsure how she will respond when he shares his feelings. The song also brings in comedy: Krishna presents Rukmini’s photograph to a judge as evidence and gets scolded. The scene reflects how much he is preoccupied with her.
Aafiya Sayed makes her Telugu debut
The film’s earlier character glimpses introduced Krishna’s unconventional personality and Rukmini as a strict schoolteacher. Alias Rukmini marks Aafiya Sayed’s Telugu debut.
Directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, the film is presented by Nani and produced by Deepthi Ganta under the Unanimous Productions banner. Its technical team includes cinematographer Jomon T. John, production designer Avinash Kolla and editor Srujana Adusumilli. Alias Rukmini is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 4, 2026.
