Nithiin’s Alias Rukmini movie has been announced by Nani’s Unanimous Productions. Directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth and produced by Deepthi Ganta, the romantic mystery was introduced through a curiosity-filled announcement video.

Alias Rukmini Announcement Video Builds Intrigue

After the success of COURT – State Vs A Nobody, Nani’s Unanimous Productions has announced its second project, titled Alias Rukmini. The film stars Nithiin in the lead role and is presented by Nani, with Deepthi Ganta serving as producer. Murali Kanth Devasoth, who received critical appreciation for his debut film Dhandora, will direct the project. The unusual Alias Rukmini announcement video introduces the film’s central mystery without revealing major plot details.

The video begins with a conversation between Nani and the director, who says that the story revolves around a man named Krishna. However, several romantic novels written by a mysterious author named Rukmini appear on screen, including Garam Gopal, Ameku Ame Ante Ishtam and Vratham Venkanna. When Nani questions the connection between Krishna and Rukmini, Nithiin is revealed as Krishna, a mathematics teacher. He adjusts his spectacles and simply answers, “My wife,” adding suspense to the story.

Nithiin Takes on a Romantic Mystery

Nithiin’s new movie promises to be a love story set against an unconventional and mysterious backdrop. Nani said the team is confident that audiences will once again fall in love with Nithiin, as they did through films such as Jayam, Ishq and Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde. He described Alias Rukmini as a beautiful love story supported by a distinctive setting and a talented technical team.

Nithiin thanked Nani for bringing the script to him and introducing him to director Murali Kanth Devasoth. The actor said the film would be a special project in his career and expressed confidence that it would make the entire team proud. Murali Kanth added that Nani approved the story immediately after hearing the narration and said having Nithiin play Krishna was a dream come true.

Film Formally Launched with Pooja Ceremony

Alias Rukmini was officially launched with a traditional pooja ceremony. Nani sounded the clapboard for the muhurtham shot, while Nithiin’s father, Sudhakar Reddy, switched on the camera. Nani’s father, Ganta Rambabu, and producer Venkat Boyanapally handed over the script to the team. Directors Ram Jagadeesh and Sailesh Kolanu jointly directed the first ceremonial shot.

Producer Deepthi Ganta said the script immediately gave her confidence that the project was special. She revealed that Nani suggested Nithiin for the role and that his appearance in the announcement video confirmed he was the perfect choice to play Krishna.

Technical Team and Shooting Plans

Vijai Bulganin will compose the music, marking his third project presented by Nani. Jomon T. John ISC will handle cinematography, Avinash Kolla will serve as production designer, and Srujana Adusumilli will edit the film. Currently in pre-production, Alias Rukmini is expected to begin regular shooting soon, with the makers promising an emotional, entertaining and engaging Telugu romantic mystery.
