Allu Cinemas: Dolby Experience at Affordable Rates to Compete with AMB in Telangana

Allu Cinemas, a new marquee multiplex in Kokapet, will be inaugurated on the 12th of March 2026 by Telangana’s Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The Allu family, including superstar Allu Arjun, will grace the event. Following the inauguration, the multiplex will host a series of test screenings and officially open its doors to the public on Ugadi. The cinema promises to offer a premium cinematic experience with high-end technology and luxurious seating.

The multiplex features four screens, three of which offer normal 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound systems, while the fourth screen is a Dolby Cinema screen. The Dolby Cinema screen will be equipped with advanced specifications, including Dual 4K Laser Projection, Dolby Vision, Dolby 3D capabilities, and Dolby Atmos surround sound for an immersive experience. The theater also boasts pitch-black interiors for enhanced contrast and stadium seating to ensure optimal viewing for all guests.

The Dolby screen at Allu Cinemas is set to be the largest in India, measuring 75 feet in width, and will hold the title of the largest Dolby screen in Asia. This makes Allu Cinemas a major player in the luxury multiplex segment. The pricing structure has been designed to be competitive, with standard ticket prices set at 295 Rupees for normal seats and 350 Rupees for recliners. This pricing model is in line with AMB Cinemas, the current market leader in the premium multiplex segment, aiming to capture its market share by offering a premium experience at an affordable rate.

While the pricing strategy is expected to attract a larger footfall, the multiplex faces a challenge due to the congested two-lane road leading to the theater. To ensure smooth traffic flow and avoid congestion, the road needs to be expanded to four or six lanes. Without improvements to the infrastructure, the road congestion could lead to significant traffic chaos, affecting the theater's accessibility.Allu Cinemas’ entry into the Telangana cinema market, with its unique Dolby experience and competitive pricing, is poised to challenge AMB’s dominance and set a new benchmark for luxury cinema in the region.
