The complaints were registered separately across six police station jurisdictions. Police teams are examining CCTV footage, mobile phone locations, and call records while searching transport hubs and other possible locations.

Bhopal, Tuesday, July 28, 2026: Ten people were reported missing from several neighbourhoods across the Madhya Pradesh capital, according to a news report updated at 7:30 am IST.
The missing-person complaints involve people of different age groups, including two minors. In several cases, relatives reportedly found that the individuals’ mobile phones had been switched off after they left home, making immediate contact difficult.
The available information does not establish that the disappearances are connected. Each complaint is being investigated separately by the police station responsible for the area where the person was last seen or ordinarily lived.
Kolar and Ayodhya Nagar Record Most Complaints
Kolar and Ayodhya Nagar recorded the highest number of complaints, with three missing-person cases reported from each police station area.
Additional complaints were registered in Ashoka Garden, TT Nagar, Ratibad, and Awadhpuri. One case involved a 17-year-old student who reportedly left her home to attend classes but did not return. Her family approached the police after searching for possible locations and failing to find information about her whereabouts.
Police have not publicly indicated that any common event, person, or organised activity connects the cases.
CCTV and Mobile Records Being Examined
Search teams are gathering information from relatives, friends, and other people who may have recently contacted the missing individuals. Investigators are also examining footage from CCTV cameras installed near homes, roads and other relevant locations.
The cyber team is reportedly analysing available mobile-location information and call records. These details may help officers identify the last known locations or communications connected to the missing people.
Police teams are also checking railway stations, bus terminals, and other crowded public places where a missing individual may have travelled or been noticed.
Police Appeal for Public Information
Additional Police Commissioner Shailendra Singh Chauhan said immediate action begins after police receive a missing-person report. The respective police stations have been directed to collect information and investigate every complaint seriously.
Residents who possess reliable information about any of the missing individuals have been asked to contact the nearest police station or the police control room without delay.
Authorities have not announced the outcome of the searches so far. The cases remain under investigation, and further details are expected after police teams complete CCTV reviews, mobile-data checks, and searches across possible locations.
