CM Naidu Pushes Data-Driven Governance For Swarna Andhra @2047

Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said data-driven governance, economic intelligence, and effective welfare delivery will be key to achieving the State’s Swarna Andhra @2047 Vision. He said the government’s focus is not just on economic growth, but on improving the quality of life of every family in Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing a two-day State-level workshop on “Swarna Andhra @2047 – Economic Intelligence for Governance: Capacity Building” in Tirupati, Naidu said future governance must be based on accurate data, measurable outcomes, and real-time decision-making.

Data To Guide Andhra Pradesh’s Growth Plans

Naidu said governments must increasingly rely on data and economic indicators while preparing policies and development plans. He said parameters such as GSDP growth, CAGR, and welfare outcomes should be studied carefully to understand whether government programmes are improving people’s lives.

The Chief Minister said data has become a valuable asset and future governance will depend on integrated information systems. He added that data-based planning can help the government identify gaps, improve service delivery, and ensure benefits reach the right people on time.

Swarna Andhra @2047 Focuses On Better Living Standards

Naidu said the Swarna Andhra @2047 Vision aims to build a stronger, wealthier, and more inclusive Andhra Pradesh by the time India completes 100 years of Independence. He said the ultimate goal of the vision is to improve living standards at the family level.

Recalling his earlier Vision 2020 document, Naidu said long-term planning was once criticised, but it later proved important for development. He also referred to former President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s belief that India needed a long-term national vision.

Private Investment A Key Pillar Of Development

The Chief Minister said the government has the responsibility to provide quality public services, but private investment is equally important for creating wealth and employment.

He said attracting private investment has been made a key pillar of the Swarna Andhra vision. According to Naidu, job creation, economic growth, and welfare delivery must move together to reduce inequality and create sustainable development.

AI, State Data Lake And Digital Governance Highlighted

Naidu highlighted several technology-driven initiatives being taken up by the Andhra Pradesh government, including the State Data Lake, integration of departmental databases, digitisation of health records under the Sanjeevani project, and the use of Artificial Intelligence in governance.

He said these initiatives will help the administration make faster decisions, monitor schemes more effectively, and improve citizen services. The use of AI and digital platforms, he said, can make governance more transparent, efficient, and people-focused.

P4 Initiative Aims To Reduce Inequality

The Chief Minister also spoke about the P4 initiative, which aims to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor by encouraging successful individuals to support underprivileged families.

Naidu referred to the examples of Tulasamma and Padmamma, two pension beneficiaries whom he had personally met during pension distribution. He said welfare schemes and DWCRA loans had helped improve their families’ financial conditions, showing how properly implemented programmes can change lives.

Experts Discuss Governance Model

Earlier, Naidu took part in a panel discussion and chose to sit among the delegates while listening to presentations by experts. Panellists discussed various governance initiatives of the Andhra Pradesh government, including constituency-wise Vision Plans, village-level data collection, the P4 programme, and the use of Artificial Intelligence in administration.

Economists participating in the discussion said initiatives such as constituency-wise Vision Plans and the P4 programme are unique to Andhra Pradesh. They suggested that similar governance models could be studied and replicated in other parts of the country.

Several economists and policymakers, including S Mahendra Dev, Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, V Anantha Nageswaran, R Balasubramaniam, K. V. Raju, Statistics Secretary to the Government of India, Dr Saurabh Garg, NCAER Director Suresh Goyal, and State Industries Secretary Dr Yuvaraj, participated in the workshop.

Andhra Pradesh Eyes Technology-Led Governance

With Swarna Andhra @2047, the State government is placing strong emphasis on data, technology, welfare outcomes, and private sector participation. Naidu said data-driven governance will help Andhra Pradesh frame better policies, track development, and ensure that growth reaches every household.
