KTR Alleges Threat to KCR Amid Erravalli Protest
Political tension escalated in Telangana on Tuesday after Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao alleged that former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao faced a serious threat to his life. The charge came amid a Congress-led protest directed at KCR’s farmhouse in Erravalli, where the BRS president was reportedly staying.
Congress leaders had announced protests questioning KCR’s performance and availability as an MLA. Party workers and leaders began travelling towards his Erravalli residence, prompting heightened security and police restrictions in the surrounding areas.
The movement of Congress cadres towards the farmhouse triggered an immediate response from the BRS leadership. KTR and several senior party leaders attempted to reach Erravalli to meet KCR and remain with him during the protest. Police, however, stopped them before they could arrive at the residence, citing concerns over a possible confrontation between rival groups.
KTR strongly objected to the police action and alleged that the authorities had prevented BRS leaders from protecting and meeting their party president. He claimed that Congress workers had been allowed to proceed closer to the farmhouse while BRS representatives were stopped several kilometres away.

Police personnel were deployed along the routes leading to Erravalli as political workers from both parties attempted to gather in the area. Officials reportedly imposed restrictions to prevent the situation from developing into a direct clash between Congress and BRS cadres.
KTR alleged that the police had escorted people associated with the protest towards KCR’s residence while blocking him and other BRS leaders far from the location. He described the situation as a serious law-and-order failure and accused the state government of using the police selectively.
The BRS leader further claimed that he was being prevented from going to what he described as his own residence and meeting KCR.
