Young Telugu actor Akhil Raj Uddemari has responded to the controversy surrounding a dispute between him and a food delivery person. The incident went viral on social media, with several users commenting on the video without knowing the full background, according to the actor. Akhil Raj, who gained recognition with the film Raju Weds Rambai, released a video clarification explaining his side of the issue.

Actor Says Food Was Delivered To Wrong Address

In his statement, Akhil Raj said that no one at his home had ordered food on the day of the incident. However, a food parcel was delivered to his house. He said his mother received the parcel and asked who had placed the order. After realising that no one in the family had ordered it, she kept it aside.

According to Akhil Raj, the delivery person returned after a few minutes and allegedly spoke rudely to his mother, questioning whether they would take the parcel because it had come for free. The actor claimed that the delivery person was intoxicated and behaved aggressively with his mother and other family members.

Akhil Raj Says He Reacted As A Son

Akhil Raj said he stepped in only to protect his family and asked the delivery person to speak respectfully. He said the delivery person recorded a video and threatened to post it on social media. The actor added that some people started criticising him online without knowing what had actually happened. He said he should have shown more patience as a public figure and should have taken the matter to the police instead of reacting emotionally. However, he said he lost his calm because his mother was allegedly abused.

Actor Appeals For Understanding

Akhil Raj said he comes from a middle-class background and understands the dignity of work. He also mentioned that he had done delivery-related work in the past and said his film also spoke about self-respect. The actor questioned why he would pick a fight with a delivery person without any reason.

He said the clarification was mainly for those criticising him on social media and requested people to understand the situation before judging him. The actor maintained that his reaction was not against delivery workers but was a response to the alleged disrespect shown toward his family.
