Relief Support Reaches Flood-Hit Sivasagar
The Hyderabad-based Nandamuri Basava Rama Tarakam NTR Charitable Trust, in association with the NGO The Embryos-Ankuran, has extended a helping hand to people affected by severe flooding in Sivasagar district of Assam. The relief initiative was undertaken to support families facing serious hardship after the floods disrupted their daily lives and access to basic necessities. Recognising the urgent need for food, clothing and essential household supplies, the two organisations coordinated relief activities directly in the affected areas. Their intervention focused on reaching vulnerable families and providing immediate assistance during a difficult period. The humanitarian effort has also drawn appreciation from sections of the Assam media and local communities, who acknowledged the organisations for responding to the crisis and standing with flood victims when support was urgently required.
Volunteers Meet Victims And Distribute Essentials
Members of The Embryos-Ankuran, including Kamalachan Barman, Diganta Dutta, Dulal Das, Kaushik Haloy, Nitul Barman, Haren Haloy and Shajamal Islam, joined representatives associated with the Nandamuri Basava Rama Tarakam NTR Charitable Trust in visiting flood-affected areas across Sivasagar. During the visit, the team personally interacted with affected residents, listened to their concerns and assessed the difficulties they were facing. Following these interactions, essential relief materials were distributed among families in need. The supplies included rice, pulses, biscuits, sanitary products, clothing and other basic necessities required for day-to-day survival. By taking the relief materials directly to the affected communities, the volunteers aimed to ensure that assistance reached people who were struggling with shortages and displacement caused by the floods.
