Mohan Babu and his son, actor-politician Manchu Vishnu, are at the centre of a growing controversy in Tirupati after a police case was filed in connection with a student protest at Mohan Babu University. The protest, led by the Students Federation of India (SFI) and SV University leaders, was sparked by concerns over the university’s high fee structure, with students accusing the institution of exploitation.
The situation intensified when allegations emerged that several student leaders, including Akbar and Vinod, were allegedly detained during the protest, prompting an investigation by the Tirupati police. Authorities have traced nearly 30 individuals connected to the protest, and the probe is still ongoing.
In the police report, Satish, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Mohan Babu University, is named as the first accused, while Mohan Babu and Manchu Vishnu are listed as the second and third accused. Both have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. As the investigation unfolds, the controversy continues to attract attention, with the public eagerly awaiting further developments.
