Zelenskyy’s Open Letter To Putin Raises Fresh Hope For Ukraine Peace Talks
Zelenskyy has offered direct talks, a full ceasefire, and prisoner exchange in a fresh challenge to Putin.
Zelenskyy Sends Direct Message To Putin
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made one of his strongest direct appeals to Russian President Vladimir Putin, asking him to end the war and agree to face-to-face talks.
In an open letter, Zelenskyy said Ukraine is ready to stop the fighting during negotiations and offered a full ceasefire for the talks period. He also supported an all-for-all prisoner exchange, making the proposal more than just a political statement.
Ukraine Offers Ceasefire During Talks
Zelenskyy said the meeting could be held in a neutral country such as Switzerland, Turkiye or an Arab nation. He also suggested that the United States and European countries should be part of any future security framework.
The Ukrainian leader blamed Putin personally for the war and said Russia is facing growing pressure from battlefield losses, rising prices, and public frustration. He also mocked Moscow’s dependence on countries like North Korea and China.
Will Putin Accept Direct Talks?
The appeal comes as Putin said peace may be possible if negotiations produce a settlement, but he also claimed Kyiv must compromise. That makes Zelenskyy’s offer important, but uncertain.
For now, the Ukraine full ceasefire offer has put fresh pressure on Moscow. If Putin rejects direct talks, Zelenskyy may use it to show the world that Ukraine is still offering a path to peace while Russia continues the war.
