Netanyahu Highlights India’s Support

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised India’s support for Israel, calling the country a “major global power.” Speaking at a leadership programme in the Jordan Valley, he said Israel was expanding its alliances and described India as a key partner in that larger global outreach.

Netanyahu said Israel continues to face criticism and delegitimisation in several parts of the world, but added that India remains different. Referring to the strong public support Israel receives from India, he said there is “an absolutely crazy love for Israel” in the country. He also claimed that many of his followers come from India, showing the depth of public interest in Israel among Indians.

India-Israel Ties Remain Strong

The remarks come at a sensitive time for West Asia, where Israel is facing security and diplomatic challenges. Netanyahu’s comments show the growing importance of India in Israel’s international partnerships.

India and Israel have built strong cooperation over the years in defence, technology, agriculture, trade, and security. Netanyahu has also often spoken about his personal rapport with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the growing friendship between the two nations. His latest comments again place India at the centre of Israel’s expanding diplomatic ties.
