Telangana June 2 Celebrations Rescheduled As Heat Wave Concern Grows
Telangana Formation Day 2026 celebrations will begin early on June 2 as the State government shortens the event timing to protect people from extreme heat.
Formation Day Events To Begin Early
The Telangana government has revised the timing of State Formation Day celebrations due to severe heatwave conditions. The official events on June 2 will now be held from 8.30 am to 10 am, ensuring that the main programmes are completed before the heat becomes more intense.
According to officials, the national flag hoisting and other formal celebrations will be finished by 10 am. The decision was taken as per the directions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, keeping public comfort and safety in mind.
Heat Wave Puts Public Safety First
Formation Day is an important occasion for Telangana, but this year the government has focused on safer arrangements. The early schedule will help students, officials, participants, and the public avoid long exposure to the sweltering summer heat.
With temperatures creating difficulties across the State, the revised timing is expected to make the June 2, 2026, celebrations smoother, safer, and more people-friendly.
