DMK Skips INDIA Bloc Meet As Congress Rift Deepens After Vijay TVK Alliance

DMK-Congress Rift Widens As Stalin’s Party Skips June 8 INDIA Bloc Meeting

DMK’s decision to skip the June 8 INDIA bloc meeting has exposed fresh cracks in the opposition alliance after Congress backed Vijay’s TVK in Tamil Nadu.

The DMK has decided to stay away from the upcoming INDIA bloc meeting in New Delhi on June 8, marking a major setback for opposition unity after its fallout with Congress in Tamil Nadu.

The tension began after Congress backed actor Vijay’s TVK in forming the Tamil Nadu government, despite its long alliance with MK Stalin’s DMK. DMK leaders accused Congress of betrayal and said party cadres were deeply upset over the decision. Recent reports also confirmed that the DMK will not attend the meeting where Congress is a participant.

Congress Move Triggers DMK Anger

The rift has now moved beyond state politics. DMK MP Kanimozhi reportedly sought separate seating arrangements for DMK MPs in Parliament, showing how serious the split has become.

INDIA Bloc Faces Fresh Trouble

The June 8 meeting is expected to focus on opposition strategy against the BJP-led NDA. However, DMK’s absence, AAP’s distance from the bloc, and unrest inside TMC may raise questions over whether the alliance can remain united before the next major political battle.
