Allegations emerge in Nagpur property deal meeting case

A case registered in Nagpur has drawn attention after a woman, married to an Indian Air Force officer, accused a former acquaintance of trapping her under the guise of a property transaction and subjecting her to sexual assault and intimidation. According to the complaint, the accused contacted her in early 2025 and invited her to a hotel on Wardha Road for a supposed property discussion. She has alleged that she was given a spiked drink and assaulted, after which objectionable videos and images were recorded without consent and later used for blackmail.

The complaint further states that the accused repeatedly used the recorded material to threaten her and continued to exploit her over time. She has also alleged financial extortion of several lakh rupees and claims she was pressured into participating in coercive activities framed as religious rituals. The case also includes allegations of forced conversion attempts, which are now part of the police investigation. A video linked to the case, showing a distressed woman resisting and pleading, has also been examined as part of the evidence.

Police investigation and arrests

After the woman disclosed the alleged incidents to her husband, a formal complaint was filed at Sonegaon Police Station, leading to the registration of a case under charges including rape, extortion, and criminal intimidation. Police have arrested two individuals named in the complaint, while another accused is currently absconding and being traced.

Investigators are examining financial records, digital communication, and location data to verify the sequence of events. Authorities have stated that multiple angles, including cyber blackmail and coercion, are being reviewed as part of the ongoing probe. Further action will depend on forensic analysis and evidence collection in the case.
