Producer Ramky has strongly responded to senior journalist Pasam Yadagiri’s remarks, saying that political criticism against Pawan Kalyan should not be used as a reason to target the entire film industry. Ramky said the Telugu film industry gives livelihood to lakhs of people and should not be dragged into personal or political disputes.

Ramky’s reaction came after Pasam Yadagiri’s comments triggered debate among film industry circles, especially over remarks linking political criticism with the Telugu cinema industry.

Ramky Defends Telugu Film Industry

Ramky said Pasam Yadagiri, who is respected for his seniority and role in the Telangana movement, should have shown more maturity while speaking. He questioned why the film industry was being attacked instead of directly responding to Pawan Kalyan politically. According to Ramky, creating regional divisions between Telangana and Andhra people in cinema is unnecessary and harmful.

He added that the Telugu film industry has grown in Hyderabad for decades, with actors, producers, technicians and workers living, earning, investing and paying taxes in Telangana.

Calls For Withdrawal Of Remarks

Ramky further said the industry contributes significantly to Hyderabad’s economy through films, businesses, real estate and employment. He warned that the film fraternity will not remain silent if irresponsible comments continue. Ramky urged Pasam Yadagiri to withdraw his remarks and said politics should remain political without insulting the film industry.
