Plot
Set in a futuristic Chennai of 2040, the story follows Vibe Vaasey (Pradeep Ranganathan), a man who avoids technology, and Dheema (Krithi Shetty), who depends entirely on the Love Insurance Kompany app. As they fall in love, their contrasting beliefs spark conflict between human emotions and digital control.
Overview
Directed by Vignesh Shivan, Love Insurance Kompany explores a tech-driven society where relationships are guided by algorithms. The film presents a relevant theme about overdependence on technology, though its narrative occasionally struggles with pacing and repetition.
Performances
Pradeep Ranganathan delivers a mature and restrained performance, showing growth from his earlier roles. SJ Suryah stands out with his engaging and quirky presence, while Krithi Shetty convincingly portrays emotional vulnerability. The supporting cast performs well but has limited impact.
Technical Aspects
The film impresses with creative world-building and a visually appealing futuristic setup. Production design stands out, though minor pacing issues affect the overall flow.
Music
Music by Anirudh Ravichander is a strong highlight, enhancing both the emotional tone and futuristic atmosphere of the film.
Editing
Editing is decent but slightly slow in the first half. While the second half improves in pace, certain portions feel stretched.
Positives

- Impressive world-building and visuals
- Memorable music score
- Relevant and thought-provoking theme
Negatives
- Slow pacing, especially initially
- Repetitive messaging about technology
- Predictable backstory elements
- Emotional depth not fully explored
Analysis
The film effectively blends romance with a futuristic concept, offering a fresh perspective on modern relationships. While the execution is not flawless, the engaging performances and meaningful theme help maintain interest. However, the overemphasis on its message slightly weakens the emotional connection.
