King 100, Nagarjuna’s landmark 100th film, reunites him with Tabu after 28 years. A birthday glimpse introduces her as Mahanthi Jhansi Rani, a formidable figure whose authority and defiance signal a new dynamic between the actors.
Tabu’s Character Makes a Strong Entrance
Unveiled for Tabu’s birthday, the glimpse introduces her as Mahanthi Jhansi Rani, a powerful woman with a commanding public presence and an attitude that refuses to bow to fate. Her voiceover establishes her uncompromising outlook before she appears on screen. Tabu’s composed expressions, elegant sarees and regal demeanour reinforce the image of a woman accustomed to influence. The preview presents her as someone ready to face anyone who challenges her, setting up a forceful role in the film.
Nagarjuna and Tabu Reunite in a New Setting
The film marks Nagarjuna and Tabu’s reunion after 28 years. Their earlier on-screen association is remembered for its romantic appeal, but King 100 places them in a different context. The makers’ “this time, it’s not love” tease points to a conflict-driven relationship, with war replacing romance as the central theme. The glimpse hints that their characters will be on opposing sides, creating curiosity about this new dynamic. Nagarjuna’s 100th film is directed by Ra Karthik, marking his Telugu directorial debut.
Annapurna Studios’ Milestone Production
Produced by Annapurna Studios, the film follows the strong response to its first glimpse, released on Nagarjuna’s birthday. That preview introduced a world of money, power and conflict, while Tabu’s character glimpse adds another major personality to the story. The latest footage offers a look at the tension between the leads without revealing the full plot.
