Legendary director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s latest film Sing Geetham is successfully running in theatres after receiving a positive response from audiences and critics. Produced by Nag Ashwin under the prestigious banners Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, the film features Ayaan, Ahalya Bamroo and Shalini Kondepudi in key roles. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the film. Released worldwide in theatres on June 12, Sing Geetham has been winning appreciation for its emotional storytelling, musical presentation and unique concept. To celebrate the success, the makers organised a Golden Blockbuster Event.

Anil Ravipudi Praises Sing Geetham

Speaking at the event, director Anil Ravipudi said he watched Sing Geetham and found it very beautiful, different and heart-touching. He said the film carries all kinds of emotions and should be watched by everyone in theatres. Anil Ravipudi praised Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and said that every film made by the legendary director is a landmark. He recalled classics like Aditya 369, Pushpaka Vimanam and Bhairava Dweepam, saying that Singeetham’s films always stand apart. He also congratulated Nag Ashwin and Vyjayanthi Movies for bringing another landmark film from Singeetham Srinivasa Rao to the audience. Anil Ravipudi added that Devi Sri Prasad’s music is one of the biggest strengths of the film and said it would remain one of the best works of the music director’s career.

Devi Sri Prasad Calls It His Biggest Musical Satisfaction

Music director Devi Sri Prasad said he had always wanted to work on a meaningful musical film, and Sing Geetham fulfilled that wish. He described the film as Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s 40-year dream and said it was a great honour to be part of such a special project. DSP said many films become blockbusters and bring fame and money, but only a few films give true creative satisfaction. According to him, Sing Geetham gave him the biggest musical satisfaction of his career.

He thanked Singeetham Srinivasa Rao for inspiring the team and praised his passion even at the age of 94. DSP also credited Nag Ashwin for making the film possible and said the celebration would not have happened without his belief in the project.

Nag Ashwin Says Audiences Have Owned The Film

Producer Nag Ashwin said he first met Singeetham Srinivasa Rao while researching for Mahanati. He said meeting the legendary filmmaker itself was a memorable experience, but he never imagined that the journey would lead to making Sing Geetham. Nag Ashwin said the team had never made a film like this before and learned the process while making it. He added that Singeetham Srinivasa Rao had always believed that no one in the world had made a film like this, and after completing the movie, the team understood why.

He said that after Mahanati, Sing Geetham is the film that audiences have embraced so strongly. Nag Ashwin said children, families and senior audiences are coming to theatres, and that the honesty of everyone who worked on the film is visible on screen.

Cast And Team Share Their Experience

Sankalp said Sing Geetham is Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s 40-year dream and that the entire team worked with complete dedication to bring that dream to life. He thanked Nag Ashwin, Devi Sri Prasad and everyone who contributed to the film. Rahul Ravindran said he would always feel proud that Singeetham Srinivasa Rao directed him and said “action” and “cut” for his performance. He praised the cast, music and direction, saying the film’s journey itself deserves to be written as a separate story.

Nivetha Pethuraj said she became emotional while watching the film and had tears in her eyes. She said the film presents an important global subject in a touching and engaging way. Ahalya said films like Sing Geetham are rare and come only once in a lifetime. Ayaan thanked Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, Nag Ashwin and Vyjayanthi Movies for giving him the opportunity. Shalini also urged audiences not to miss the film in theatres.

Senior actors Banerjee and Shivannarayana also praised the film. Shivannarayana said Telugu cinema is fortunate to have such a musical film and appreciated the team for making the actors sing for their own characters.
