Asian Cinemas Plans Major Collaboration With Chiranjeevi
Asian Cinemas, one of Telangana’s leading film exhibition companies, is reportedly joining forces with Megastar Chiranjeevi for a large-scale cinema venture in Hyderabad. The exhibitor has previously been associated with prominent Telugu stars, including Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and Vijay Deverakonda, through premium multiplex partnerships. Its proposed collaboration with Chiranjeevi is expected to continue that celebrity-backed model on a much bigger scale.
The new project is drawing attention because it reportedly aims to house one of the world’s largest cinema screens. Traumpalast Leonberg in Germany currently holds the Guinness World Record for the largest permanent cinema screen. The screen measures approximately 127 feet wide and 69 feet high, covering nearly 8,770 square feet. The auditorium has around 574 reclining seats and features IMAX dual-laser projection technology.
Another major cinema screen is located at Royal Cinemas 14 in Pooler, Georgia, United States. Its IMAX dual-laser screen measures approximately 101 feet wide and 76.2 feet high, covering nearly 7,696 square feet. The auditorium reportedly accommodates around 363 viewers.
These venues establish a demanding global benchmark. For the Hyderabad project to claim a world record, its final screen dimensions and operating specifications would need to match or surpass the officially recognised record holder and undergo formal verification.
