I Am Game Gets New September 3 Release Date
Dulquer Salmaan’s highly anticipated film I Am Game has officially moved from its earlier August 20 release plan to September 3, 2026. The makers said the change was made to give the film a much broader theatrical launch and take it to more international markets. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan and Jom Varghese under the Wayfarer Films banner, the big-budget fantasy thriller is being positioned as one of the largest films of Dulquer’s career. The project is directed by Nahas Hidhayath, known for RDX, and marks another ambitious production from Wayfarer Films.
Pan-Indian Release Planned in Five Languages
Dulquer Salmaan confirmed through social media that I Am Game will receive a pan-Indian release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. According to the actor and the production team, the revised date gives the film more room to secure a release that matches its scale, visual ambition and theatrical potential. The screenplay has been written by Sajeer Baba, Ismail Abu Bakr and Bilal Moidu, while the dialogues are credited to Sajeer Baba, Adarsh Sukumaran and Shabas Rasheed. With the new release strategy, the makers are aiming to reach a larger national and global audience.
Trailer and First Song Boost Expectations
The film’s trailer and first song have already generated strong attention among moviegoers. Released in five languages, the trailer showcases large-scale visuals, high-energy action, chase sequences and a stylish presentation of Dulquer Salmaan. The actor is seen in a mass-oriented avatar, adding to expectations that the film will deliver a distinct fantasy-thriller experience for Malayalam cinema audiences. Jakes Bejoy has composed the music, while National Award-winning stunt choreographers Anbariv Masters have handled the action sequences. Zee Music has acquired the film’s music rights.
One of Dulquer Salmaan’s Biggest Films Yet
Shot across more than 100 locations in South India, I Am Game is Dulquer Salmaan’s 40th film and is being mounted on a large scale. The ensemble cast includes Antony Varghese, Mysskin, Kaayadu Lohar, Kathir, Parth Tiwari and Samyuktha Viswanathan.
