Telugu cinema legend Nandamuri Balakrishna was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) 2026, held at the iconic Bharat Mandapam. The award recognises his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema, spanning over an illustrious 50-year career. This prestigious honour serves as a tribute to Balakrishna’s immense dedication to the craft, his versatility, and the lasting impact he has had on the film industry. The grand ceremony took place in New Delhi on March 25, where the award was presented by Delhi's Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, with other distinguished guests from the world of cinema and culture.

In addition to this incredible accolade, Balakrishna’s recent work continues to shine. His film Bhagavanth Kesari, directed by Anil Ravipudi, received the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 71st National Film Awards, further solidifying his relevance in the current film landscape. His excellence in the field was also recognised in 2025 when he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award, in recognition of his unparalleled contributions to arts and cinema.
