The grand ceremony took place in New Delhi on March 25, where the award was presented by Delhi's Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, with other distinguished guests from the world of cinema and culture.
In addition to this incredible accolade, Balakrishna’s recent work continues to shine. His film Bhagavanth Kesari, directed by Anil Ravipudi, received the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 71st National Film Awards, further solidifying his relevance in the current film landscape. His excellence in the field was also recognised in 2025 when he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award, in recognition of his unparalleled contributions to arts and cinema.
