On the occasion of NTR’s birthday, the makers of the highly anticipated NTR-Neel project released a special glimpse and officially announced the film’s title as Dragon. The teaser introduces Jr NTR as Luger, the Assassin-In-Chief of the Afghan Trading Company, instantly creating massive excitement among fans. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film appears to be a large-scale action drama set in a dark world connected to the opium trade and the criminal empire that emerged in India after British rule. The glimpse presents NTR in a lean, intense and powerful avatar, with strong dialogues and a commanding screen presence. Reports also confirm that the film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 11, 2027.
Prashanth Neel Builds Another Violent Action World
After creating massive cinematic universes in films like KGF and Salaar, Prashanth Neel seems to have designed another intense world for Dragon. The glimpse hints at crime, betrayal, power battles and high-voltage action sequences. The backdrop of the Afghan Trading Company and the opium trade gives the film a unique period-action setup. NTR’s character appears to enter a dangerous world where violence, loyalty and survival drive the story forward.
