Telugu ZEE5 is bringing back the cult mystery world of Marmadesam with a new original series titled Veerabhadruni Rahasyam – From the World of Marmadesam. The series will premiere on June 26, 2026, and promises a gripping mix of mystery, folklore, suspense and supernatural intrigue.
Set in the mysterious village of Veerabhadrapuram, the story follows a place where faith, fear and tradition control everyday life. The villagers believe that Veerabhadra Swamy punishes wrongdoers, and whenever the temple bell rings, another body is found near the temple. These deaths are accepted as divine justice, while silence and fear continue to protect the village’s secrets.
The story takes a sharp turn with the arrival of Vennela, played by Annie. A rational and fearless young woman from the city, Vennela refuses to believe that the mysterious deaths are acts of divine power. When a young villager is brutally murdered, she begins questioning the village’s beliefs and decides to uncover the truth.
As Vennela investigates deeper, hidden layers of crime, exploitation and deception begin to emerge. The series also moves through parallel timelines, tracing the roots of the mystery back to the 1970s. What begins as a story of faith soon becomes a battle between belief and reason, where every secret leads to a darker truth.
Directed by Bheemagani Sri Vardhan Reddy, Veerabhadruni Rahasyam features Annie as Vennela, Raghu Kunche as Yoganandam, Raghu as Karthikeya, SI Ravi as Abhinav, Kamal Thumu as Dr. Nanda, Sireesha as Simhavalli, Anuradha as Nanchari, Balachandra as Gurunadhan, Kalki as Brahmam and Harvin Reddy as Young Karthikeya.
The technical team includes Subhash as Director of Photography, Sudha Srinivas as Music Director, Ragam Satya Nitish as Editor, Rudarraju Chanakya Varma as Screenplay Writer and Anjan Megoti as Dialogue Writer.
The series will have a total of 60 episodes. It will premiere with two episodes on June 26, followed by new episodes every week. With its long-form mystery format, the show is expected to slowly reveal its secrets, conspiracies and hidden connections.
