Young hero Sumanth Prabhas’ summer blockbuster Godari Gattupaina continues to receive a strong response in theatres after its worldwide release on May 8. Directed by Subhash Chandra and produced by Red Puppet Productions, the film features Nidhi Pradeep as the female lead, while Jagapathi Babu plays a key role. As the movie is running successfully as a cool summer entertainer, the makers organized a thank-you meet to celebrate the audience response. Speaking at the event, Sumanth Prabhas thanked the media for supporting the film’s content and said that the love from family audiences gave the team immense confidence. He recalled how some friends wondered whether audiences would buy tickets after a three-year gap in his career, but theatre visits in villages changed that feeling completely. According to him, seeing theatres filled with families was a memorable experience. He added that while Mem Famous connected strongly with youth, Godari Gattupaina introduced him to a new audience and took him closer to families.

Heroine Nidhi Pradeep thanked the audience for the appreciation given to her character Maya and said working with Sumanth Prabhas was a wonderful experience. Producer Abhinav Rao said films like Godari Gattupaina stand strong because of word of mouth, and he expressed happiness over the response from theatres. He urged families who have not watched the film yet to experience it on the big screen. Director Subhash Chandra called the film a milestone for the entire team and said collecting Rs 8.6 crore gross in 10 days was a proud achievement. He said the movie reflects how people are basically good, but situations can change their behaviour. He added that cinema is a powerful medium, and his intention was to tell something meaningful through relatable characters. Subhash also thanked the producer for standing by the team during the initial mixed reviews and believing that a good film would eventually find its audience.
