Kazakhstan Launches Altyn Visa
Kazakhstan has announced a new 10-year Golden Visa programme called the Altyn Visa to attract foreign investors, entrepreneurs and skilled professionals. The scheme is part of the country’s wider immigration reforms aimed at bringing global capital and talent into key sectors while reducing dependence on oil revenues.
Under the proposed programme, foreign nationals investing at least $300,000 in Kazakhstan may qualify for a long-term residence permit. The investment can be made in the charter capital of Kazakh companies or through locally traded securities.
Faster Residency For Skilled Talent
Along with the investor visa, Kazakhstan is also simplifying residency rules for foreign professionals. IT specialists and business visa holders may become eligible for residency after one month of stay, while skilled workers may qualify after six months and temporary workers after one year.
The new framework will include business, skilled worker, and temporary worker visa categories. These routes are expected to support entrepreneurs, investors, healthcare professionals, scientists, graduates, and specialists working on approved investment projects.
Benefits For Applicants
The Altyn Visa may offer tax incentives, easier residency access, and benefits for family members. Visa holders may also receive access to government services, healthcare, and education facilities. For Indian entrepreneurs and IT professionals, Kazakhstan could become an alternative migration option between Asia and Europe.
