However, doctors treating him have now clarified that the 38-year-old had been suffering from Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) for nearly five years. Doctors admitted Prateek to the ICU on April 29 after suspecting complications linked to pulmonary embolism. However, on May 1, Prateek insisted on leaving the hospital despite repeated warnings from doctors and requests from family members to continue treatment.

Even after returning home, Prateek reportedly continued medication under nursing supervision. However, his condition worsened in the following days, and he was declared dead at Civil Hospital in Lucknow on May 13, 2026.
