Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan are set to launch development works worth ₹11,085 crore under Palle Panduga 3.0 on September 29. The programme will begin in the Udayagiri area of Nellore district and will fund roads, cattle sheds, horticulture plantations, drainage and other village facilities across the state. Nellore district officials have identified Ramapuram village in Varikuntapadu mandal as the launch location.

Palle Panduga 3.0 puts village roads at the centre

Road construction accounts for most of the announced outlay. The government plans to lay 6,000 km of cement concrete roads at an estimated ₹2,700 crore and take up 9,500 km of bitumen roads for ₹7,550 crore. These are proposed works under the new phase; their completion will depend on implementation after the launch.

The programme also includes around 22,000 mini Gokulams, or cattle sheds, for dairy farmers at a cost of ₹300 crore. The Horticulture Department plans plantations across 50,000 acres with an allocation of ₹225 crore. Another ₹110 crore is earmarked for 1,000 km of magic drains, while ₹200 crore will support bus shelters, gram panchayat buildings, Rachabandas and other local facilities.

Centre and state to share the ₹11,085-crore outlay

According to the announced funding split, the Centre will provide ₹5,391 crore and Andhra Pradesh will contribute ₹5,694 crore. The government has also identified funding streams including VB-G RAM G, the Global Horticulture Hub, NABARD and other sources for parts of the programme.

The third phase follows earlier Palle Panduga works covering village roads, cattle sheds, farm ponds and plantations. Officials say the new phase is intended to improve rural connectivity and basic amenities while supporting agriculture and dairy farming. With its largest allocations directed towards CC and BT roads, the September 29 launch will mark the start of a substantial new round of village infrastructure work in Andhra Pradesh.
